For the first time, ARWI International Art Fair has centered its energies in a thematic cultural immersion. It will be reflected in a space in Santurce, San Juan, Puerto Rico, open to the public. It will offer interesting proposals that come from an analysis over the science that surrounds the artist and where the spectator will have the chance to be drawn to the art experience. It will serve as a meeting point for discussion for subjects such as: research investigations, history, culture and other matters that could have direct effect on the arts.

The objective of the Foundation is to impel the production, diffusion and investigation of the artistic expressions of the island. It will also be in charge of finding sponsorship for future exhibitors for the ARWI Fair, in order to encourage a more dynamic comprehension in the social context in promoting the effective insertion of the gallery and the artist into the international art circuit.

It is the commitment of the Foundation to regularly convoke a series of activities that will make possible the incorporation of historical theories and contemporary cultural debates. It will impel forums of debate, expositions, courses, seminars, publications and more. The Foundation will favor a critical position that will contemplate the interrelations of the artist, the work of art and the society in which they are both created and influenced upon.

Given the need for strategies that favor effectively the development and appreciation of art, the Foundation will respond to the elaboration and mediation of international projects and cultural investigation of broad range by joining forces with ARWI International Art Fair. Puerto Rico will have the chance to present a cultural notion that will resume the multicultural phenomenon that makes our country unique.
